DUBLIN --
Research and Markets(http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/8kxnkh/pharmaceutical) has announced the addition of the "Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs in Japan (Seminar, London)" conference to their offering.
The 'Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs in Japan' seminar will take place on the 2nd December 2013 at The Rembrandt Hotel, London
Japan is the world's second largest pharmaceutical market with advanced healthcare system and basic research capabilities. However, Japan has been lagging behind in clinical research and regulatory practices which has led to delays in drug approval compared with EU and US markets.
To solve this problem, the Japanese health authorities have engaged in an aggressive campaign to reform its clinical trial infrastructure and regulatory system in an effort to encourage foreign companies to include Japan early on in their global clinical development.
Today there are many signs of improvement, such as the reduction in the drug approval review timelines and the surge of global clinical trials conducted in Japan, but the regulatory landscape is still evolving with new developments and challenges.
This course provides an overview of the Japanese pharmaceutical market describing the regulatory pathways to the approval process. The course will also introduce some aspects of life cycle management that are specific to Japan and cultural considerations in working with Japanese colleagues and regulators.
